European Environment Commission to revise WEEE Directive

It looks as though WEEE Directive collection targets could rise to 85% by the year 2016 following a vote by MEPs.
An article on the MRW website reports that the European Commissioner for the Environment mentioned in a recent speech that the Commission realises how important the WEEE stream is and proposes to look at the WEEE Directive again and to bolster producer responsibility and wants to increase the collection targets to 85%.
