Keeping track of end-of-life hardware when it’s on-site can be a big enough challenge. It can be even more so if it’s off-site. But knowing where it is and what has happened to it – especially if it’s data-bearing, is becoming of increasing importance from a legislative perspective. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) states that data processing and destruction must be documented and auditable.
We can help you manage your legal obligations as well as your internal processes through providing detailed reports and data on the status and disposal method of your end-of-life IT hardware.
Once your kit has been collected, it’s scanned onto and transported back to our facility by our GPS-tracked vehicles. It’s then scanned off the vehicles and processed. At the end of the process, you will receive a certificate of destruction as well as a full asset report detailing how each asset was processed, which was data-bearing and proof of erasure.
